Community

CSA This is where we are going to give special recognition to people  that help make the community great.

We would like to start off with people that have gone above and beyond and earned a Campaign Service Award. This award is only give out by Mike Brock and carries some cool and special benefits. First, each coin has a number on it and the recipient gets to set their PFS Number to that number. Second, the coin is good for a free reroll. Without further ado we present you with the recipients of the Campaign Service Awards:

701- Kyle ElliotVC Seattle Wa

(Kyle has served a a Paizo representative at numerous local, high profile conventions and shows, including several PAX Primes, Norwescon, Dragonflight. Emerald City Comic Con, Geek Girl Con, initial Begnner Box Bash, ALA, Gamestorm, RadCon, GottaCon, PaizoCon, and numerous other special events over the past year.)

702- Kristie SchweyerVC Clearwater Florida

(Kristie not only has been instrumental in supporting more than 10 conventions a year, some very large that have attendance of tens of thousands of players. She has also been the backbone of growth and community cohesion in Florida. She spearheaded the creation of the Florida PFS Website. The creation of the website brought the community together and growth exploded.)

703- Stephen WhiteVC Melbourne AU

(Stephen was one of the original 13 Venture-Captains and the only VC in all of Australia. With Australia roughly the same size as the continental United States, it was a huge task to coordinate PFS for an entire continent and country. But, he did so with no complaints and we saw unprecedented growth in PFS. This is due directly to Stephen’s efforts. He has gone above and beyond to accommodate to his veteran and new players alike, and his phenomenal efforts have kept these players coming back, and in turn bringing more new players in. Stephen was one of the first 5 star GMs outside the U.S. and the first in Australia. His example has led to others striving to GM as well as he does. He has reached out and coordinated with the Australian library system to help coordinate regional and national gaming awareness days. He has also been instrumental in supporting multiple regional conventions a year, paying significant out of pocket costs for both travel and convention product support for players and GMs. He is also on the committee to watch the new website for PFS Australia become a reality.

704 –Allistar RiggVC Sydney AU

(Al has been a Venture-Captain for 18 months and has done a phenomenal job. The Sydney area is a huge region, with more than 4.5 million people. But, Al wasn’t content with just Sydney. He reached out to surrounding cities and brought no less than five additional ones into the fold including Hurstville, Blacktown, Canberra, Newcastle, and Wollongong. In all of these areas, Al helps his VLs coordinate and manage game days in 12 stores in the core region of Sydney and 8 stores in the outer region of Sydney. He has reached out to the Australian library system to help coordinate regional and national gaming awareness days. Additionally, he has reached out to 7 universities in his region to try to have Pathfinder Society included on their calendars. His region has grown from a handful of players to more than 315 contacts as of his last region report. He has had a significant role in supporting more than 10 Australian conventions a year, paying significant out of pocket costs for both travel and convention product support for players and GMs. Finally, he has been instrumental in the creation and development of the new website for PFS Australia.

705- Art LobdellVC New York City, NY

(He travels tirelessly across the country to help coordinate and organize PFS, making sure players outside of his region of New York receive the best PFS experience possible. He always GMs multiple tables at every con he attends, showing by example what a five star GM should be.)

706- Myron PaulsVL Winnepeg Canada

(Myron’s standout efforts as a VL, his exemplary terrain structures for scenarios (photos of his Storval Stairs is floating around here at PaizoCon), and his community building serve as an awesome example for his peers. On top of all that, tonight at the Special, Myron will GM his 200th table!

707- Eric BrittonVC San Diego Ca

(Closing in on 1,000 days of service to the campaign, Eric Brittain, Michael Azzolino, and Robyn Nixon have done too many acts of recognition for me to try to list them. What i will say is they make my job easier and have my sincerest appreciation and respect. Suffice to say they are a few of the pillars that this community is built on and represent exactly what the Campaign Service Award was created for.)

708- Mike AzzolinoVC San Fransisco Ca

(Closing in on 1,000 days of service to the campaign, Eric Brittain, Michael Azzolino, and Robyn Nixon have done too many acts of recognition for me to try to list them. 710- Auke Teeninga

(Auke Teeninga joined the Venture-Captain team as the coordinator of the Netherlands back in the initial assignment of 13 regional coordinators. He has spent more than 1,000 days coordinating and organizing PFS in and around Holland. PFS has been fortunate to have someone to steer the ship there. He is now PFS number 710!)

711- Dave Harrison

(Dave Harrison was also assigned as regional coordinator of the United Kingdom with the original 13. He also has registered more than 1,000 days of coordination over his region. He also helped with the establishment of PaizoCon UK and was able to help recruit not only new Venture-Officers of England, but also Ireland. He is now PFS number 711!)

712- Rob Silk

(Rob Silk joined the team as a Venture-Lieutenant of England in late 2011 and had logged more than 700 days of service. He helped grow his region so quickly he was promoted as VC over London. Rob also had a very significant role in making PaizoCon UK the awesome event it has turned into. He is now PFS number 712!)

713- Zrinka Znidarcic

(Zrinka Znidarcic joined the team as a Venture-Captain in late 2011. She was assigned to a very large region of Croatia, Bosnia, and Slovenia. The only organized play of any significance before she came on the scene was Magic: the Gathering. She introduced PFS to the entire region and all three countries and has done a magnificent job growing PFS in the region. Her efforts are showing tremendous return and she has my utmost respect with stating from the ground up. She is now PFS number 713!)

714- Jon Cary

(He has also served as my lead HQ Volunteer at Gen Con in 2012 and 2013. He worked throughout the 11 months between the two conventions to help me formulate plans to make all aspects of PFS at Gen Con run more smoothly. He willingly gave up all of both of his Gen Cons to make sure that all PFS fans had the best experience possible. He has my highest respect and most sincere thank you for all of his work. Without him, PFS would not be where it is today.)

715- Steve Miller

Steve has served as the Raleigh, NC, Venture-Captain and has served since October 2011. His efforts have fostered growth and community cohesion throughout North Carolina. He has scheduled buses of gamers to travel to Gen Con, has written for PFS, and has contributed in many numerous ways I will let his player base expand upon.

716- Joe Jungers

Joe has served as the Raleigh area Venture-Lieutenant since October 2011. His efforts have aided in the growth and community cohesion across the entire state of North Carolina, the many regional conventions, and other growth too far to list here, that the regional fanbase can expand upon.

717-719 These have yet to be awarded.

720- Todd Morgan

Todd has served as the Iowa Venture-Captain, then transitioned to the Venture-Captain of Omaha, NE, and has served since September 2011. His efforts have fostered growth and community cohesion in both regions.

Both Todd and Bob worked throughout the past 11 months between last year’s Gen Con and this year’s, to help Jon Cary (a campaign service award recipient himself) and I formulate plans to make all aspects of PFS at Gen Con run more smoothly. They willingly gave up all of their 2014 Gen Con to make sure that more than 2,000 PFS fans had the best experience possible over the four days of the show. They served as my right hand men and helped me keep my sanity (and get a decent amount of sleep).

721- Bob Jonquet

Bob has served as the Chicago Venture-Captain, then transitioned to the Venture-Captain of Central and Southern Illinois and has served since October 2011. His efforts have fostered growth and community cohesion across the entire state of Illinois.

722- Del Collins

Del has served as the South Carolina Venture-Captain since October 2011. He is running his 499th reported PFS session at the Gen Con Special tonight. Through his affiliation with SCARAB, he has coordinated hundreds of conventions and game days throughout the Carolina’s, southern Georgia, northern Florida, and Tennessee. He has also done some amazing work for various charities utilizing PFS.

723- Lucas Servideo

Lucas has served as the Boston/North Shore Venture-Lieutenant for several years. His efforts have fostered growth and community cohesion in his region. He makes my job easier and I thank him for that. His PFS portfolios he produces with his own money and distributes for free among the playerbase have received the highest praise from the community and I encourage you to reach out to him to obtain a copy.

He has also done a tremendous job with the kid’s track, both in his local area, and 2013 and 2014 Gen Cons. Single-handedly, he has turned my ideas for the Kid’s track from good to great with his efforts. From doing television interviews to producing “draw your own goblin” coloring sheets, the kid’s track program is stronger because of Lucas. I’ve had at least 10 parents come up to HQ this year at Gen Con to tell me how amazing the Kid’s Track experience has been to their family, and specifically how much Lucas’ efforts have personally created a lifelong memory for their child and converted their child to a Pathfinder fan.
